A $2000 scholarship is being offered to an educator aspiring to be a school administrator. The scholarship is being administered by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), Region X1V Retired. The scholarship was established to honor Dr. Donald Duncan, a long time administrator in Torrance and at the County offices. He was also a co-founder of the ACSA retired
chapter.
To qualify for this scholarship an applicant must meet these qualifications:
1. The candidate must be nominated by an administrator currently serving in an active ACSA Region X1V chapter.
2. The candidate must already be enrolled in an accredited administrative credential program, having earned at least 3 units towards the credential.
3. The candidate must be employed in a school district which has an active Region X1V charter.
4. Once nominated, the candidate must complete the appropriate application, providing proof of enrollment in a credential program.
5. Whereas, this scholarship will be available annually, a recipient will not be eligible to reapply. This is a one time grant.
Deadline will be April 15, 2010.
