NPIEN Student, Educator, Community Awards Applications Available



NPIEN is pleased to announce that applications are available for its Student, Teacher, and Educator Awards. The following are the criteria for the Student Awards:

1. Pacific Islander students (Chamorro (Guam), Fijian, Hawaiian, Maori, Marshallese, Samoan, Tahitian, Tongan, etc.) in grades 6-12, or college or university are eligible for the NPIEN Student Scholar Award.
2. Students may be nominated by their school teacher, professor, counselor, or administrator.
3. Students are selected based on their academic achievement (minimum 2.5 GPA), improved academic achievement, and participation in school and community service and extracurricular activities.
4. Four students will be selected for a $100 scholarship based on this application.

Applications have been sent to area schools, and will soon be available on the NPIEN website www.npien.com

Students and staff can also nominate deserving teachers and other staff for their respective awards.
